Why I Write-George Orwell

• In his childhood,George wrote to ease his lonely feelings and create stories that entertained and comforted him.
• George Orwell wrote because he likes the way words flow and how they sound.
• He has a desire to leave behind a legacy to be remembered,and to prove himself to people.
• To use facts for people to understand the world around them through what he has observed.

The argument that resonates to me would be his explanation of why he writes.I relate to the fact that he writes to use his imagination and in the past,to combat loneliness.I understand his passion for writing and that he likes the way words are used.

The author's background compels him to write because he wants his readers to be moved in a certain direction.He aims to change people's idea of things.He wants to make political writing an art.His writing is to give people motivation and to bring them away from feelings of loneliness or feeling low when people try to bring them down.He is most likely trying to encourage readers so they can prove themselves to anyone who said they couldn't do something and be successful at something they're passionate about,like he is about writing.He writes to share his experiences and for people to see things as they are.

I enjoyed reading this essay because like George Orwell,I occasionally like to write and also read.I relate to what he says about wanting to prove himself to others and the fact that words always seem to stick out to me.I like quotes and the way things are writen in stories and essays.Words can inspire me and can add some light in a person's day.My background would influence what I write about because my past experiences,have made me very imaginitive.I would create stories or an essay that makes people laugh and use random scenes to turn a story in different directions.Even if my stories or essays were serious,I'd find a way to make it also light and entertaining because I always try to look on the bright side of things.My background has made me a strong person that wants to encourage and motivate others through tough times.I would write to entertain and encourage others.
